Communication Media, is basically how you communicate with either someone or a group of people, and each type can differ in use and practicality depending on what is used. For instance a normal phone call can only be one-on-one, wheres via webcam you could have a meeting with as many people as required, and things like distance and location won’t be an issue.
The term ‘Media’ is usually when one type of medium is used to convey numerous data for various reasons. Within communications it’s the tools or channels used for transmission and the storage, and to deliver data or information. A lot of people would probably say that it’s quite similar to news media or even mass media, though as a single medium.
In terms of communication, there are numerous forms of different medias which allow us to keep in touch with each other over long distances, and across far away lands and the sea. Mainly a huge development in media around 1906, when the first radio was developed and could support a two-way transatlantic broadcast! Two different types were made which allowed common communication: Digital and Analog.

For example Digital telecommunications are things like computer networks (think Facebook and Twitter), computer-media communication and telegraphy. Analog on the other hand are things such as traditional TV broadcasts, radio and telephony (computerless communication the old fashioned way).
Today communication media has been modernised so much it can offer long-distance exchanges of very high quality, and between more than two people (as mentioned at the start) via email, webcams (both computer and on camera phones and Internet forums), also known as many-to-many communication. The other side of modern communication media would be a more traditional media used for broadcasts, called one-to-many, and consist of things such as the radio, magazines, cinema, TV, Facebook and newspapers. And due to the continuous development in electronic media, the electronic gadgets can only increase in popularity.
